Hi,
I Love iShutDown, been looking for something like this for a while Smiley Thank you.
Since installing on my iPhone 4, it works beautifully.
The only problem is from my computer, it no longer turns off via the normal windows method, it ONLY turns off via iPhone Shutdown or if I leave my hand on the Power Button on the PC.

I am running P4 with Windows XP, SP3.
I am using Norton Antivirus 2008 with it's built-in Firewall.

I click on Turn Off Computer button on windows, most of the icons on the botton right corner dissapear except for iShutDown, Volume, Local Area Connection.

Please advise on what I need to do to fix this issue.

Regards,

Hi rlexyd,

I had the same issue with a freshly installed old computer with Windows XP SP3 and
.NEt 3.5

After installing the last updates from Microsoft, including several updates for .NET 3.5,
everything went fine. I can shutdown/reboot either with iPod or Start menu or even the
on/off front button.

Hope this will help you.

Regards.

thx for your answer.

It was very helpful. Seems like its really .net feature and may be fixed only with the microsoft updates.

Hi Vlad,

Sorry, but I spoke too fast.

When I tried the reboot, it was about one minute after the boot, and it works well with both iPod and PC.
But, after two or three minutes, the iShutdown icon appears in the task bar (close to the clock) and then
reboot or shutdown is no longer possible with the PC, only the iPod can operate.
It is still possible to stop iShutdown server using a rigth clic on the icon and then quit iShutdown.

Regards.

Hi Vlad,

You've got it!

It works very fine. The iShutdown icon still takes a few minutes to display in the task bar.
After displaying, it is possible to restart or reboot either with iPod or PC.

Thanks a lot.

Now waiting for the new iPod application.

Regards.
